Program Staff
A Study commissioned by the Government of Ontario determined the
benefit of universal and targeted programs for children ages 0 to 6 are
critical to a child's lifelong health, behaviour and learning. The program
will be delivered from an Early Years Centre to be established in the
County of Huron and the following position will become part of that centre
once it is established.
The successful applicant will begin March 18, 2002. Hours will be flexible
as candidate will be to work some evenings and/or Saturdays.
Must provide own transportation for work related travel.
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in a related field such as early childhood
education, child development, primary school teaching, health
promotion, community development, and adult education.
• Minimum of two year's experience in children and family services.
• Experience in adult education.
• Demonstrated communication skills.
• Skills and experience working with a variety of groups
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of early child development and parenting.

Data Analysis Co-ordinator
(Part-time Position)
The County of Huron requires a part-time Data Analysis Co-ordinator.
The Data Analysis Co-ordinator will focus on the programs that receive
new funding either through the Early Years Centre initiative or through
the Early Years Challenge Fund.
The Data Analysis Co-ordinator will work primarily with groups and
organizations in the community to monitor, support and promote program
recording and tracking of participation by children from birth to age six
and their families. The Data Analysis Co-ordinator also works directly
with Early Years practitioners and helps ensure that appropriate linkages
between programs are made and maintained.
The Data Analysis Co-ordinator provides input in identifying gaps in the
community's Early Years programs and parent/child outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education that includes courses on social statistics
• Demonstrated experience in data collection, data analysis, research or
evaluation
• Proficient computer skills with knowledge of various computer
pr • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills, both written and oral
• Knowledge of early child development and parenting
• Own transportation for work related travel

After School Teachers, and Summer Program Teachers. The
successful candidates are primarily responsible for
implementing educational programs that provide for the full
intellectual and emotional development of each child.
Employment Standards:
• Degree or diploma in early childhood education or a related
field of training from a recognized university or college.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in a childcare centre or in
a related field.
• Knowledge of child development; early childhood
education; teaching methods and techniques.
• Ability to teach and supervise children; organize and direct
inside and outside activities; establish and maintain
