Rebekahs plan supper FROM BRUSSELS
Yippee! Yahoo! The complicated
method of scoring figure skating has
been recognized on a worldwide
basis and on the surface all looks
well to the world. We'll see! In the
meantime our Canadian sweethearts
came through with grace and class
and on Sunday got their gold. Jamie
Sale and David Pelletier can be my
ambassadors any time.
Joan Golden is back from her first
set of classes for 2002 in the
Diaconal program from Winnipeg
Centre for Christian Studies, ready
to take on your questions on United
Church methods and theology. Just
ask. Richard and Ophelia seemed to
have handled the absence in style.
I was listening to CBC on
Saturday and it was like a review of
our last weekend as the announcer
made the rounds of Interlude in
Ottawa. I was relieved to know that
we had done the tourist things
properly. The sculpture of snow and
ice are the highlight. Imagine if you
can, a hummingbird in flight or a
fire-breathing dragon or a horse and
rider ready for action. A skate on the
Rideau Canal was their next venture
and of course the savouring of a
Beaver Tail then a ride on the Sno
Bus.
It was good to know that .the
weekend that we thought was so
much fun was also CBC sanctioned.
Bye now, Betty G. W.
The regular meeting of Morning The District meeting will be held
Star Rebekah Lodge took place on in Clinton on March 13. The next
Tuesday, Feb. 12 with Noble Grand regular meeting will be held on Feb.
Sister Joyce Jacklin presiding. There 26.
was only a fair attendance due to the
stormy weather.
Plans were finalized for the
casserole supper and euchre party
held on Monday, Feb. 18.
