Father Paquett of Sacred Heart and
St. Ambrose Catholic Churches in
Wingham and Brussels respectively
attended the Feb. 4 meeting of

He explained that 1 million young
people from 150 different countries
will take part. There will be roughly
200 visiting in the area of Wingham
and Brussels.
The people, aged 16-35, are
screened before being accepted for
the program. They are, said Father
Paquett, "pilgrims, not tourists," as
they are making a "journey to a
sacred place as a sign of religious
devotion." The program, he added, is

Physical activity can be as
dangerous for your health as

Michael's Road in Morris-Turnberry
over the theft of a snowmobile.

He left the roadway at 8:30 a.m.
on one of his snowmobiles and
returned at 1:30 p.m. to find another
an ecumenical venture.
He asked council for township pins
which could be presented to

Fraser. Guest musician was Margaret
Kai. Rev. Bannerman conducted the
service.
Rev. Bannerman's message to the
children and the adults was, Who
was St. Valentine? St. Valentine was
a minister of a church in Rome.
Claudius was unsuccessful in
recruiting young men to fight for
him so he enacted a law that he
outlawed marriages.
Valentine saw the pain this law
was causing and decided to marry
young couples in secret. Claudius
soon found out and put him in
prison. The prison guard had a little
girl that was blind and brought her to
see Valentine. Valentine prayed for
her and God was merciful to her and
the little girl regained her sight.
The Emperor decided Valentine
should be beheaded on Feb. 14, the
Lupercalia festival to honour Juno
Health Unit. Snow date is Saturday
March 2.
Participants will explore nutrition,
physical activity, and stress
management from a feminine
perspective. A dietician will speak
on nutrition for women, and the
Community Food Advisors will
prepare everyday recipes using heart
healthy substitutes.
The benefits of physical activity
will be investigated next. How do
you fit active living into an already
busy schedule? Finally the
investigation of the stress
management topic will be enlivened
by a reflexologist and a Tai Chi
snowmobile left on the trailer had
been stolen.
Taken from the trailer was a
$6,000 1997 red Yamaha XR7
snowmobile.
Anyone who can help solve this
crime is asked to call the OPP or

Valentine ask for a pen and
parchment and wrote a farewell note
to the janitor's daughter and signed it
Your Valentine.
The people for Valentine's church
erected a Basilica in his honour at
the site of his burial. Some of the old
customs such as Cupid and his arrow
of love are still carried on today.
Scriptures also support romantic
love as the story of Jesus turning the
water into wine at a wedding.
Rev. Bannerman conducted the
Covenanting of Church Officers
followed by the Sacrament of
Communion. There were 43
members at the annual meeting on
