All dogs must be licensed in compliance with By-law No. 30-2001. A copy of the
complete By-law is available for review at the Municipal Office. All dogs must
be identified by means of a tag and license, issued for a (1) one year period by:
Friday, April 26, 2002
The fee schedule shall be as follows:
1/ All dogs - males, females, and spayed females $20.00 per dog
2/ Kennel License Fee $75.00
(for a kennel of dogs that are registered or eligible
for registration under the Animal Pedigree Act)
3/ Late Payment Charge $20.00 per dog
(Shall be assessed in addition to the license fee, if the
license and/or tag is not purchased by April 26th)
Excrement:
The By-law requires dog owners to forthwith remove excrement left by a dog,
from the property other than the premises of the owner of the dog. Any person
contravening this provision is subject to a $50.00 fee.

Brussels Livestock report
Choice anti exotic steers sell $142 higher
Total receipts for Brussels
Livestock for the week ending Feb. 1
were 1,987 head of cattle, 205 lambs
and goats.
On Tuesday, choice and exotic
steers and heifers sold $1 to $2 high-
er with other classes selling on a
steady trade. Cows sold $1 tp $2
higher on a strong demand. On
Thursday, veal sold on a strong
active trade with prices $2 to $3
higher. Lambs sold 'at prices steady
to last week's market. On Friday the
calves sold on a steady market. The
yearling steers sold on a strong
active trade while the heifers sold
under pressure.
There were 398 steers on offer
selling from $110 to $114 with sales
to $130. Darren Johnston, Bluevale,
consigned one limousin steer weigh-
ing 1,265 lbs. selling to Dominion
Meats for $130. His overall consign-
ment of three steers averaged 1,302
lbs. selling for an average of
$126.05. One limousin steer con-
signed by Cunningham Farms,
Lucan, weighed 1,295 lbs. and sold
to Dominion Meats for $129. Their
overall offering of thirty steers aver-
aged 1,489 lbs. for an average of
$109.98.
Willard Siegner, Mildmay, con-
signed two limousin steers averaging
1,355 lbs. selling for $117.50. One

Elliott, Ripley, weighed 1,660 lbs.

$117. Larry Ryan, Crediton, con-
signed twenty-seven steers averag-
ing 1,499 lbs. selling for an average
of $111.57 with his top limousin
steer weighing 1,625 lbs. which sold
for $117. Ten steers consigned by
Paul Martin, Chesley, averaged
1,471 lbs. selling for an average of
$109.59 with two gold steers averag-
ing 1,555 lbs. selling to Norval Meat
Packers for $114.50.

Leadership Program (AALP) is
excited about its, upcoming Black
and White Dream Auction.
This bi-annual event takes place
on Saturday, Feb. 23, beginning at
6:30 p.m. in the Atrium of the
OMAFRA building at 1 Stone Rd.
W. in Guelph.
Auction items already donated
include a Toshiba 36" television, 50
lbs. of prime pork, four rounds of
golf at Guelph Lakes Golf and
Country Club, a grandfather clock, a
helicopter flight over Niagara Falls,
a framed Peter Etril Snyder print, a
trip for two to the Chicago Board of
Trade, 500 litres of diesel or furnace
oil, a set of golf irons and a crib
quilt/wall hanging.

Elliott, Ripley, averaged 1,293 lbs.
and sold to Norwich Packers for
$127. His overall consignment of
nine heifers averaged 1,229 lbs. for
an average of $116.89. Muxlea
Farms, Woodstock, consigned six
limousin heifers averaging 1,278 lbs.
which sold to Norwich Packers for
$120.50. Their overall consignment
of fourteen heifers averaged 1,276
lbs. selling for an average of
$116.27.

Meat Packers for $86.50. One hol-
stein cow consigned by Fairlaine
Farms, Wingham, weighed 1,195

for $81.50. His overall consignment
of three holstein cows averaged
1,453 lbs. for an average of $69.70.
Rae Waechter consigned one limou-
sin cow weighing 1,745 lbs. which
sold for $74.
There were six bulls on offer sell-
ing from $72 to $75 with sales to
$78.50. Don Burnett, Gowanstown,
consigned one limousin bull weigh-
ing 2,055 lbs. selling to Taylor
Packing Co. Inc. for $78.50. One
RWF bull consigned by- Bob
Richards, Tara, weighed 1,575 lbs.
and sold for $75.
There were 188 head of veal on
offer. Beef sold $120 to $151;
Holstein, $103 to $108 with sales to
$112; Plain Holstein, $70 to $80.

veal steer weighing 700 lbs. selling

veal steers averaged 715 lbs. for an

weighed 675 lbs. selling to White
