The purpose of the meeting is to review the proposal and receive submissions with respect to its adequacy and to ascertain whether severance arrangements have been made with those members of the Service whose employment will be terminated if the proposal is accepted. The meeting will commence at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2002, in the Township of North Huron Council Chambers, 274 Josephine Street, Wingham, Ontario. Over the Christmas week, several members of our family found an opportunity to see the just-released movie Ali. A note of trivia about the film I found interesting is that the executive producer, Michael Mann was producer of the television series, Miami Vice. And of course, Cassius Clay, was portrayed by Will Smith, The official board on behalf of the congregation of Londesboro United Church recently purchased a new Rodgers organ. Purchase of this instrument was possible through donations to the memorial fund and other monetary gifts given to and by the congregation. These donations and gifts will be acknowledged on a plaque affixed to. the organ. The organ was installed in the sanctuary on Jan. 9 and 10. Dedication of the new organ began the morning service on Sunday, Jan. 13. Members of the Blyth §kating Club are very pleased with the suc- cess of the various fundraisers that have taken place to date. The next fundraiser will be the sale of pizzas, panzerotti, cookie and muffin dough. This will run from Jan. 12 until Feb 1. Grinders are those person who in any aspect of life never give up but persevere, always having faith that one day circumstances will change. Jesus, as a servant of God, was a grinder, always ministering and spreading God's word. FROM LONDESBORO Seniors host euchre The Happy Gang Seniors held their monthly euchre tournament at the Londesboro Hall on Friday evening, Jan. 11. There were 17 tables of card players. Two couples tied for -first place with 78 points — Mabel Wheeler and Jim Coultes and Norman and Mary Turnbull. Marie Parks and Lois Cunningham claimed third prize with 75 points. Edythe Glousher and Ruth Shiell both had the high num- ber of lone hands with eight played successfully. The next card party will be held Friday, Feb. 8. The Happy Gang Seniors invite all community seniors to attend their meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at noon.
