Anyone interested in playing darts after the New Year, contact Murray Keifer at 887-9100. Being a kind Opa, I offered to babysit my millennium twins last week so the parents could have some time off to go shopping and prepare for Christmas. Their sister Jessica who is eight years old informed me that Benjamin is now known as Benzilla and Evelyn is known as E- Wrecks. I did notice they are into everything and somewhat ahead of the terrible twos stage. Ben is the leader bulldozer and Evelyn follows like a steamroller. Together they make a formidable and very cute pair. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and prosper- Otis 2002 in good health and keep the news coming. John Saxon has now retired from his career as service technician for major appliances. Over the past 20 years many customers in Cranbrook and surrounding are have called on John to service their appliances, often at off hours, including Christmas Day. This Christmas John will not be available if a range goes into self- cleaning mode or a fridge stops working. People will have to find another service technician to rescue their turkey dinner. I know customers will miss him, but the family will enjoy having him around at home. It is time to enjoy retirement, John, and reap the rewards of being grandfather, parent and devoted husband. The community extends deep sympathy to Debbie Campbell and her family at the passing of her mother on Wednesday. Dec. 12.
