If we get some snow and cold temperatures they will be
skating in Ethel thanks to the efforts of a group of volunteers.
Among those putting things together this past Saturday

The Brussels PeeWee Rep team has people involved in the Atwood
played three games in the last 10
days. Two games have been exhibi-
tion ones against Mitchell Reps.
Game one Brussels lost 1-0 and
Game two Brussels lost 4-2. Both
games were very fast and great to
watch. Scoring for Brussels was Matt
McClinchey with two goals. With
two assists was Adam Corbett and
Chase Chapman got a single.
The third game was against
Clinton. Brussels won 7-2.
McClinchey led the scoring with a
hattrick. Chris Corbett, Christopher

Cochrane each netted a single.
Kyle Gibson did an excellent job in
net for all three games.

seems that the skill lies in establish-
ing a good base of packed snow, fol-
lowed by the tedious task of gently
misting the snow until, slowly but
surely, layers of glorious ice begin to'
form.
When asked when an outdoor rink
around here would be ready, mid-to-
late January seemed to be the con-
sensus. (Try explaining that to eager
children who carried wood and ham-
mered in boards, fully intending to
be skating on that very rink Saturday
afternoon!)
Everyone is encouraged to use the
rink and don't forget to bring along a
snow shovel. If you are interested in
helping out or have some ideas or,
tips to share, please call Andrea or
Bob Hruska 887-2605. Grey students
