Paul Ross welcomed all and invited Danielle Bean to the front to light the advent candle. The opening hymn Herald! Sound the Note of Judgement was sung. Rev. Ross offered prayer, then invited the children to the front. The child to be baptized, her par- ents, the Bradley Ramseys came up and Rev. Here its states that God is with you, do not be afraid, you will be saved. Out of sadness, joy will come. The guest soloist, Trish Johnston, then treated all to a beautiful Christmas song. Rev. Ross continued with scripture from Luke 1. Here Elisabeth is speaking to Mary who replied saying that her soul did magnify the Lord as he is holy and has done great things. His mercy is always with us. Lo, He comes with Clouds Descending was sung and Rev. Ross continued with his sermon, Neverending Joy. Most have so much in this world to be thankful for. There are others who do not have the food and necessities of life, even in this country. Help is needed for those who are hungry or homeless and those who can, must assist. This gives both those who receive and those who give, joy. Mr. and Mrs. Hans Sturzenegger received and presented the offering. The closing hymn was Joy to the World. The Sturzenegger family greeted at the door. A Christmas Eve service to cele- brate the birth of Christ will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Londesboro United Church.
