FROM BRUSSELS
Lodge
donates
The regular meeting_of Morning
Star Rebekah Lodge took place on
Tuesday, Nov. 27 with N.G. Sis.
Joyce Jacklin presiding.
A donation was made to the Huron
County Christmas Bureau.
It was decided to have the
Christmas dinner on Dec. II at 6:30
p,m. at the Merry Piper Restaurant.
The gift exchange will take place
after the meeting.
Lodge members attended a dinner
and meeting on Dec, 3 at Huronic
Rebekah Lodge, Clinton to meet the
president of the Rebekah Assembly
of Ontario, Sis. Molly James.
Well Santa Claus came to town
and wasn't it a good visit?
The weather was pretty impres-
sive, the folks in the parade were
ambassadors of good cheer and the
smiles of the viewers and cheerers
were a sight to behold. If Santa did-
n't feel loved in Brussels on
Saturday he is definitely down in the
dumps.
The staff from CIBC had the route
under control and the parade away
on schedule, the OPP had the streets
covered and we had great participa-
tion from the whole community all
because Deb Seili and Chris Tenpas
are terrific co-ordinators. Thanks for
your organizational skills on behalf
of the Brussels business group.
Winners of the first Brussels
Business Group Peace on Earth
Christmas basket draw are Jean
Leitch of Wingham and Kelsey
Smith of Brussels.
Thanks to the poster people who
made Santa's visit cheery — Krystle
Ziegler, Heather Stewart, Kesha

The Catholic Women's League
says thanks for your support of their
bazaar last week. Part of their fun
was several draws -and the winners
were Catherine Terpstra, Greg
Wood, Danika Murray, Don Nolan
and Rea Vandebroek. They went
home happy with their prize be it
meat, a plant stand, a Christmas
arrangement, a picture or a K-Food
certificate. Enjoy your booty.
We nearly have a full moon as I'm
writing this. It was pretty impressive
to view the reflection of the
Christmas lights on the clear sky lit
up brightly by the full, fat moon.
Take a peek, you'll like it.
Part of the joy of this season is the
fun, chatter and laughter as friends
gather at homes, parties and commu-
nity events in anticipation of
Christmas — enjoy every moment
and cherish the ones you are with.
