at WI
meeting
The November meeting of
Belgrave WI was held on Tuesday
evening, Nov. 20 with an attendance
of 25 members and guests.
Following the opening exercises
President, Isabel Campbell read

Gladys Van Camp introduced the
Bramhill family from Gorrie who
provided music, before and after the
speaker. Nancy Jardin introduced
Steve Young, the senior editor of
CKNX-TV (the new NX). He gave
an informative talk on the beginning
of the Wingham television station
and its growth to the present. He
finds that he never knows what the
day will bring or what events he will
be covering.
The material is edited in Wingham
and fed to London on a microwave
line for the 6 p.m. and late news pro-
grams.
Steve showed some taped pro-
grams he had done including the one
when he surprised his wife on
Valentine's Day at Howick Central
School.
Gifts of appreciation were given to
him and the Bramhill family. Lunch
and a social time followed.
During the business meeting a
report of the area convention was
given by Audrey Fenton and plans
were made for catering a Christmas
dinner.
Jim Coultes and Mabel Wheeler
motored to Carsonville, Michigan,
for the American Thanksgiving din-
ner with Mr. and Mrs. H. Squires,
family and other relatives on
Thursday, Nov. 22.
Brenda Jones of Huntsville visited
for a couple of days with her mother
Betty Irwin.
Mabel's Moms met at their regu-
lar time on Wednesday, Nov. 21.
Those who attended were Linda
Hess and Judith; Crystal Agombar,
Nicholas, Gage and Curtis Weber;
Kim Higgins and Shelby; Elaine
Scott and Preston. Their topic was
speech therapy.
