The Goderich Atom squad was out-played in their contest against Drayton this past weekend.
The two teams faced-off during the second weekend of the Brussels Optimists annual tourna-
ment. Drayton went on to win this one. Wingham lost to Tilbury in the A final, while Drayton

On Nov. 25 the Brussels Atom
Local League made a big impression
in Ripley winning their WOAA
match-up 6-3. .
The home squad went into the sec-
ond period with a one-point advan-
tage. Tyler Deitner, with help from
Zachary Hoegy scored the only first
period goal for the visitors.
However, the team was on fire in
the second, lighting the light three
times. Deitner led the way complet-
ing a hattrick, while Brendan
Stretton fired one by the Ripley net-
minder. Assistsi'went to Stretton,
Brian Burgess, Hoegy and James
Dillon.
Ripley closed the gap but Brussels
was able to take a one-point lead into
the third, then added two to finish
the scoring. Joel Wilkinson and
Burgess bulged the twine with
helpers from Brianne Wheeler and
Deitner.
Juvies come from behind
The Wingham Juveniles came
from behind this past Saturday night
to tie Lucknow in WOAA league
action.
Wingham was down 2-0 a minute
and a half into the game, then found
themselves down 3-0 to start the
third period.
Cue the Wingham comeback. Rod
MacEwen started the trek back as he
scored with help from Curtis Knight
and Kevin Hopf. A minute later Jake
Bruce made it 3-2 with a hand from
Hopf and Greg Machan.
Machan tied things at three with an
assist going to Shawn Henry.
Jamie Louttit made many key
saves in the second and third period
including a Lucknow man advantage
PeeWee Reps

Zurich
The Brussels PeeWee Rep team
played Zurich last Wednesday and
won 8-0.
Scoring for Brussels were Matt
McClinchey, with five goals and one
assist, Matt White, Brad McKague
and Adam Corbett.
Other assists went to Andrew
McDonald, Greg Bowers, Chris
Corbett and Christohper Jutzi.
Goaltender Kyle Gibson made
some great saves.
in the last couple of minutes.
Wingham travels to Monkton next
Friday night for a 9:30 p.m. contest
again Elma-Logan. On Saturday
they return to Wingham to play
Paisley beginning at 3 p.m. This will
be the last action for the team before
the Greg Dietz Memorial Juvenile
Hockey Tournament being held in .
