Obituaries THELMA COTTON Mrs. Thelma Cotton, wife of Donald Cotton of Cranbrook, passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday, Nov. 5, 2001 in her 91st year. Surviving besides her husband, are her family: Earl Starr and wife Carol of Barrie, Garnet Starr and wife Joyce of Owen Sound, Angus Starr and wife Joan of Alliston, nine grandchildren and several great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents. Visitation was at the Peebles Funeral Home, Atwood, on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A private service was held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Captain Bob Henderson from the Salvation Army in Stratford officiated. Interment was in Brussels Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve Starr, David Starr, David White, David Corriveau, Kelly Sutherland, John Burton and Pal Somers. ANNIE GLENYS MACNAUGHTON Annie Glenys MacNaughton of RR1, Londesborough, formerly of Walton, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001 at Seaforth Community Hospital in her 65th year. The former Annie Glenys Doupe, was the wife of Karl MacNaughton and dear mother of Robert and Sue of London, James and Cindy of Lucan, Carole and Durwin Lamont of London, Dennis of London, Murray and Robyne of Cookstown and Dale of Vancouver. She was the loved grandmother of 13 grandchil- dren. She is survived as well by one brother Harold Doupe and his wife Pat of London. Mrs. MacNaughton was prede- ceased by one brother Ken and two sisters Elizabeth and Lois and her parents Garnold and Anna May (Roy) Doupe. A memorial service was held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Kirkton on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 1:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements were entrusted to the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth. STANLEY HAMILTON MOFFATT Mr. Stanley Moffatt, formerly of Bluevale passed away at Huronlea, Brussels on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001. He was 93. Mr. Moffatt was the beloved husband of the former Vera McCracken. He was the father of Paul and Karen Moffatt of Wingham and grandfather of Ryan, Kendra and Devin Moffatt. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Elizabeth (Brown) Moffatt and by his brothers George and Gordon. Visitation -was at the McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service was held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Linda Moffatt officiated. Interment was in Wroxeter Cemetery, Wroxeter. Memorial donations to Bluevale Presbyterian Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sym- pathy. GRANT ELLIOTT After a courageous battle on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001 at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich, B. Grant Elliott of Goderich and formerly of Blyth passed away in his 55th year. He was the beloved husband of Sharron Elliott (nee Chamney) and loving father of Steacy (Tom) Turner, Darryl and Jason Elliott. He was the loving stepfather of Steve, Denis (Connie) and Jeff Lassaline and grandpa of Benjamin and Scott Turner. Mr. Elliott is also survived by his parents Gordon and Betty Elliott of Blyth. He was the dear brother of John (Bev) Elliott, Donald (Sandra) Elliott and Betsy (Bryan) Allan, all of Blyth.. He will be remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews. Friends called at the Tasker Chapel of the Beattie-Fakoner Funeral Home, Blyth Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 2 - 4 p.m. A Masonic Service was held at 4:30 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday commencing at 11 a.m. Interment is in Blyth Union Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated as expressions of sym- pathy.
