A year ago the Walton Public School was purchased by eight
community-mined indivi luals who wanted to preserve the
school as a vital part of the hamlet. At that time the eventual
use of the building was not determined. By late fill Dorothy
Cummings & Barmy Tech Canvas Bag Co. had rented the large
room at the south end of the building. The rest of the building
remained empty until September 2001, when Shannon moved
her Little School frori her home to Walton. Currently there is
still some space available. For more information call Jim
Campbell, Walton 887-2680.
