On Oct. 27, Glen and Eileen
SeHeil celebrated their 50th wed-
ding anniversary' a week early. The
event, at the Brussels' Legion,
allowed friends and family to com-
memorate the special occasion with
what Mrs. Sellers called "a great
party."
Glen Sellers and Eileen
McKinney were married at the
bride's home in Bluevale on Nov. 3,
1951. Rev. Alexander Nimmo of the
Presbyterian Church in Wingham
officiated.
After a trip to visit some of Mrs.
Sellers' relatives in the U.S., they
returned to the home on Browntown
Line in which Mr. Sellers was born
and have lived there ever since,
Mrs. Sellers had also been born at
her family's original home in Morris
Twp.
Glen still actively farms but
Eileen has retired, although she will
allow that a farm wife always has
something that needs to be
done.
She originally trained as a regis-
tered nurse and after her children

The corn is coming off. The wag-
ons are rolling, the machinery is
gobbling up the stalks and when
driving at night, that first quick
glance looks like a invasion from
Mars. Then the second glance shows
the lights and huge machinery in
motion moving the corn. Yes, it's
definitely fall.

bration by their children Bill and
Judy as well as three granddaugh-
ters.
Norm Fairles was the guest of hon-

Mitchell were part of the family
table that was in attendance. This
gathering is a time for associates,
councillors, staff, family and friends
to acknowledge the time commit-
ment and effort that it takes to repre-
sent Huron County as our warden.
Thanks Norm.
The Santa Claus parade (Dec. I )
is sneaking up fast. Get your float
and costume ideas ready and ask
your children if they are in
the grades that enter the poster con-
test. Yes, the next season is coming
now.

laughter on Sunday. The 125th
anniversary brought past members
and friends back to worship. Our
present minister, Joan Golden and
our 60s minister Rev. Al Johnson led
us through memory lane, a celebra-
tion of our present and the visions of
our future. Pictures, documents and
church books were on display to
show us where we've been and to
remind us of our role in community.
The Brussels, Morris and Grey

our young friends take part in the
