Kim Roetcisoender, Julie Wright, Andrea Craig, Heather Blake and Lissa Berard — you are my guardian angels. Thank you for your life- saving actions. The • medical personnel in both Clinton and London stated that I received excellent CPR chest compressions. You also managed to quickly remove my children from the trauma scene. You will never be forgotten. - Love, Angela Berard. BRUSSELS AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY. Phew!! It looks like we made it. With this year's success (in spite of the rain) of the Brussels Fall Fair, there are thank yous owing. Many thanks to the Brussels Legion Cadets for their help setting up and tearing down of exhibits. This is a labour-intensive job where extra hands are appreciated. Next, thanks to Marie Perrie and David Blaney for the display of antiques, Kevin McArter for making our Best of the Fair Auction the best yet, and let us not forget the exhibitors who toiled over projects to fill our displays, the sponsors who gave generously again, and thanks to all who attended, and witnessed our mini parade, and indoor 4-H Beef Club Achievement Day. Following close on the Fair's heels came the very successful (and sunshiney) sold-out Farm Hiker Tour and Country Harvest Supper. We had 613 cars registered for the tour and fed 400 at supper. Our apologies to those who were unable to get supper tickets. The hall looked its best with thanks to the Hallahan/Douma wedding decorators who let us use all the barn board and twig decorations from their wedding. Thank you to Jacquie Bishop for her help in organizing the tour and also as a host site. The event could not have happened without these hosts opening their farms to us to visit — Hedley's Trout Farm, Hallahan's Dairy Farm, Coultes's Beef Operation, W6J3B Quarter Horses, and McGavin Farm Equipment and Farm Supply for housing not only their farm show, but the Ontario Pork Trailer, Farm Safety and Alloette. The sponsors for this event also must be thanked. Their generosity is overwhelming. Last but definitely very important, the Agricultural Society Directors for the best meal in town, our ambassador Kelly McDonald for the long hours put in and my new best friend Kevin. I sincerely thank you. — Dorothy Cummings, Co- President, Brussels Agricultural Society 2001. 39-1 McDONALD. I would like to thank the Brussels Agricultural Society for giving me the opportunity to represent them for the following year. Thank you to everyone who supported the Ambassador competition. I would like to thank the Walton Women's Institute for sponsoring me in the competition and making all of this possible. Thank you to everyone who came out to the fair and for all the kind words.
