THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2001. PAGE 13.
Sunday was a beautiful day for the
Walton PeeWees baseball team's
wind-up party.
It was a good season with the team
taking second in the B division.
Coaches, Brian Black, Fred
McClure and Keith Wilbee, and
manager, Gloria Wilbee welcomed
all the players at the baseball dia-
mond where they played a game
against the parents. After the game
everyone went up to Brian's for sup-
per.
The hit musical, The Rock Slinger
was once again performed. The
Mennonite church in Brussels host-
ed a retreat and the Walton Troupe
was invited to perform. Their last
performance of the play was in June
so participants had to relearn their
lines and work on a few new dance
steps to get ready for Saturday.
There was a little bit of apprehen-
sion on the port of the producer as to
whether the King (Graeme Craig)
would get back in time from the
plowing match. He did and he and
the rest of the cast were well reward-
ed with loud applause and standing
ovations.
Bike stolen
On Sept. 23 just before 2:45 p.m. a
theft was reported from a residence
on John Street in Brussels.
The owner told police that some-
time in the last two days a person
took a yellow Vagabond BMX bike
out of the yard. Anyone finding the
bike or knowing where it can be
located is asked to call the Huron
OPP or Crime Stoppers.
