The show opened Tuesday and runs with performances through the week. (Photo by David Blaney) Silence to release full-length CD released in January and 2000 units have been manufactured to date. Ruins, the lead off single from the album, is starting to be embraced by commercial radio across Canada and the video has aired on MuchMusic. Ruins has also been extremely suc- cessful at campus stations both in Canada and the U.S. Silence is aver- aging well over 100 hits per day/3000+ hits per month on their website (www.silence-band.com ) Happy 40th Anniversary August 26 ROSS AND MARC BENNETT Susan and Barry Bromley and Alieda and Joseph Vlasman are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their children April and Sean. The wedding will take place in London, Ontario. On Thursday, Aug. 23, Silence will be debuting their full-length CD, Saintless. The CD Release Party will be held at The Livery in Goderich and is sponsored by Molson Canadian: the show is all ages with a segregated 19+ licensed area (cour- tesy of Joe Friday's). Doors open at 7 p.m. and the concert will end at 11:30 p.m. Silence will perform the new album from beginning to end as their set. Special guests Captain Rock & The Nighthawks (a tribute to rock & roll), Keith White (formerly of Oliver Twiggins & Degrassi Jr. High), and Countermind will round out the night. Tickets are $7 at the door (if not sold out) and $5 in advance, avail- able at Ernie King Music (Goderich & Wingham) and A.V.E. Entertainment (Suncoast Mall, Goderich). Saintless was recorded, produced and mixed by Glen Teeple (The Music Room, Sarnia) and Wayne Taylor (Renaissance Productions, Blyth), and mastered by Taylor at Renaissance Productions. It is Silence's, third release, and first full- length album.
