Thoughts of thanks from the family of John and Mark. Thank God for rural small- town Canada. From the onset, the emotional support, food, kind words and deeds, flowers, generous donations from family, friends and neighbours gave Jim, Ken and I strength. The compassion shown by the police officers and Jim, Ken, John and my employers was appreciated; Doug McBurney and Sean Eaton, who had the answers before the questions were posed; the United Church, Wingham who allowed the service there; Ethel Miner Clare who allowed a very personal touch to the services and who spearheaded a crisis help session for the children; the United Church Ladies of Wingham and Belgrave who prepared the luncheon; Al Bridge, who washed our vehicles; Belgrave Co-op staff who topped up our oil tank; Dr. Kysela for whom Mark was a very special patient; Karen and Steve who created Mark's tribute; Steve who unlocked my brother-in-law's car; Herb and the Mosquito team, who presented me with Mark's jersey — the list goes on. And to my brothers Glenn and Doug, friends Steve, Patti, Eve, Warren, Marjorie, Dan, Maureen, Annette and Trish who were at our side non-stop, helping in any way — thank you forever. The choices for verbal eulogies, pallbearers, flower bearers and honorary guard came easy and I thank you. — Kathy, Jim Sand Ken. 33-lp Coming events WOOD YOU LIKE TO PAINT — Annual Open House & Sale, Friday, September 7 - 10:00 a.rr. to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, September 8 - 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Sunday, September 9 - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 3 3/4 miles west of Seaforth on Hwy. #8 at County Rd. 15 (Kinburn Line), 41568 Byers St .
