On Tuesday, the fed steers and heifers sold $2 to $3 lower and the cows sold on a steady market. Thursday's veal sold at prices $2 to $3 higher while the lambs traded on a market steady to last week. On Friday all calves and yearlings sold on a steady market. There were 369 steers on offer selling from $108 to $112 with sales to $129. One gold steer consigned by Kada Farms, Bluevale, weighed 1,375 lbs. selling to Norwich Packers for $129. Their overall offering of forty steers averaged 1,446 lbs. selling for an average of $113.54. Lorne Benedict, Kerwood, consigned one limousin steer weigh- ing 1,335 lbs. selling to Norwich Packers for $125.75. His overall offering of twelve steers averaged 1,327 lbs. and sold for an average of $115.02. Six steers consigned by Fred and Lynda Helwig, Neustadt, averaged 1,474 lbs. and sold for an average of $112.39 with their top limousin steer weighing 1,395 lbs. selling for $121.
