A lot has happened in the last two
weeks at the Brussels Legion
Branch.
The Friday night supper of beef
stew had a good crowd enjoying the
evening and the air conditioning.
The last euchre had 14 tables of
players coming in from the
heat to cool off and enjoy an after-
noon of cards. The first place win-
ners were Eileen Mann and Hilda
Holmes.
Tied for second place were Isabelle
Gray and Shirley Dittmer and
Charlie and Millie McDonald. The
lone hand winners were Dorothy
Dalton and Jim Coultes.
Euchre is this Saturday at 1 p.m.
and every second Saturday.
Over 90 people enjoyed the music
of the Blue Diamond Trio at the sin-
gles' dance,
The final meeting was held to
finalize the preparations for the 70th
anniversary dinner and dance on Oct.
20. Drop into the Branch to purchase
dinner tickets.
Have you heard about the family
