Diane Taylor and Joshua and Erin of Mitchell visited with Jack and Mary Taylor. Sincere sympathy is extended from the community to the Vincent families in the passing of Carol Ann Vincent. May your thoughts and prayers be with her families in their time of sorrow. Les Shaw, who was a patient at the Wingham and District Hospital for 10 days has returned home. Friends and neighbours wish Les a speedy recovery. On Friday evening, July 13 Ora and Arnold Bruce hosted a surprise birthday party for Lillian Campbell on the celebration of her 65th birth- day. It was also a celebration for Lorne Campbell who had turned 65 in . March. Old-time musical favourites were played on the deck by Arnold Bruce, Doris Walker and Mary Hahn. Delicious snacks and a tasty buf- fet, complete with a birthday cake, were enjoyed. The food was pre- pared by Ora with daughter-in-law Debbie Riley and grandchild Dakota Riley of Londesboro helping out. On Monday, the first day of the week-long vacation Bible school, there were approximately 125 children registered. Here the young people enjoy a twist on the old favourite "What time is it Mr. Wolf?", asking the question of Mr. Noah.
