Agriculture Brussels Livestock report Fed steers and heifers sell $2 higher Total receipts for the Brussels Livestock for the week ending July 13 were 1.792 head of cattle, 740 lambs and goats. On Tuesday, fed steers and heifers sold $2 higher. Cows sold on a steady trade. On Thursday veal sold $5 higher while the lambs sold at prices steady to last week. On Friday all classes and weights of stockers sold at prices steady to last week. There were 417 steers on offer selling from $113 to $117 with sales to' $126.25. Joel Martin, Paisley, consigned two limousin steers averaging 1,288 lbs. selling to Dominion Meats for $126.25. His overall offering of six steers averaged 1,271 lbs. selling for an average of $121.30. One limousin steer consigned by Roger Benedict, Kerwood. weighed 1,210 lbs. and sold to Dominion Meats for $125. His overall offering of twelve steers averaged 1,267 lbs. bringing an average price of $118.89.
