North Huron's Chief Building
Official Byron Ellis and Clerk-
Administrator John Stewart will be
meeting with a Blyth ratepayer
regarding a neighbour's 'hay'.
At the June 18 meeting, Ellis
explained to council that while the
complainant said it was a residential
zone so there shouldn't be haying, a
farm was located right across the
street. Also, he said, there was noth-
ing in the property standards bylaw
regarding the appropriate height or
regularity of cutting.
However, as the word excessive
had been used in talking about the
issue, Ellis said he would speak with
CBOs in other urban areas to see if
they have a stricter interpretation of
the word.
