Obituaries
THOMAS THOMSON LEIPER
Mr. Thomas Thomson Leiper of
Clinton and formerly of Hullett Twp.
passed away on Sunday, June 24,
1 in his 87th year.
Mr. Leiper was born on Jan. 23,
1915 and was the son of the late
James and Annie (Hamilton) Leiper.
Mr. Leiper fayned in Hullett Twp.
He judged horses at local fairs for
over 50 years and received his 50-
year pin from the Huron Central
Agricultural Society. He served on
Hullett Twp. council for 10 years,
seven years as reeve.
Mr. Leiper is survived by his sis-
ter-in-law Jean Leiper of Toronto.
He is the loving uncle of Margaret,
Jim, Ken and Bill Leiper.
He was predeceased by two sis-
ters, Agnes and Jean Leiper and four
brothers, John (Jack), Guy, Robert
and William Leiper.
Friends were received at the
Beattie-Falconer Funeral Home Ltd.,
153 .High St., Clinton on Tuesday
from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 where the funer-
al service will be' held on
Wednesday, June 27 at 2 p.m.
Interment will be at Burns
Cemetery, Hullett Twp.
Pallbearers will be Robert
Hoggarth, Murray Reid, Ed
Salverda, Jack Lee, Bill Flynn and
Lloyd Josling. Rev. Paul Ross will
officiate.
Donations to the Clinton Public
Hospital Foundation or charity of
one's choice would be greatly appre-
ciated.
WALLACE FRANK NICHOL-
SON
Mr. Wallace Frank Nicholson, of
Blyth passed away on Wednesday,
June 20, 2001 in his 77th year.
Mr. Nicholson was born in -Morris
Twp. Sept. 17, 1924 and was the son
of the late Nelson and Martha
(Storey) Nicholson.
He was the beloved husband of
Shirley (Adams) Nicholson. He was
the loving father of Dorothy and
Steve Webster of Charlottetown,
P.E.I., Judy and Steve Howard,
North York, Gary and Sandra
Nicholson- and Don and Janet
Nicholson, all of Blyth. Mr.
Nicholson was the cherished grand-
father of 12 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by three
brothers.
Friends were received at the Blyth
Visitation Centre, 407 Queen St.,
Blyth on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9
p.m. where a private family service
was held on Saturday, June 21
Interment was in Blyth Union
Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy dona-
tions to Clinton Public Hospital
Foundation or the charity of one's
choice would be appreciated.
JACK WHEELER
John Lawrence "Jack" Wheeler of
Brussels passed away at Huronlea
Home for the Aged on Tuesday, June
19, 2001. He was in his 83rd year.
He will be sadly missed by his
beloved wife Mildred and his chil-
dren Audrey Johnston and her hus-
band Murray of Morris Twp. and
David Wheeler and his wife
Rosemary of Grey Twp. He was the
loved grandfather of Valerie Watson
and her husband Mike of Morris
Twp., Deborah Braun and her hus-
band Mitch of Whitechurch, Bruce
Johnston and his wife Dawn of
Brussels, Ian Johnston and his wife
Laura of Morris Twp., Steven
Wheeler and his wife K.J. of New
Westmilister, B.C. and Gregory
Wheeler and his wife Gail of Morris
Twp. He was the dear brother of
Ross Wheeler of Toronto and
George Wheeler and his wife Shirley
of Morris Twp. Mr. Wheeler was
also loved by sisters-in-law Isabel
and Delores and his 15 great-grand-
children.
He was predeceased by brothers,
Bill and Robert.
At Jack's request there was no
funeral visitation. A private family
service was conducted on Thursday,
June 21 at the Schimanski Family
Funeral Home, Brussels with Mrs.
Joan Golden of Brussels United
Church officiating. Sharing memo-
ries of their grandfather were
Deborah Braun and Valerie Watson
and great-granddaughter Lindsay
Watson read a story to those gath-
ered.
Pallbearers were Rick Wheeler,
Mike Watson, Mitch Braun, Bruce
Johnston, Ian Johnston and Greg
Wheeler.
Interment was in Brussels
Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy,
memorial donations may be made to
the Canadian National Institute of
the Blind or Brussels United Church.
