After the Call to Worship and the opening hymn, he thanked everyone who helped make the country smorgasbord supper a great success. He also announced that the next WUCC meeting will be June 6 with the topic of hoof and mouth disease being discussed. It is the last meeting before the summer break. Jimmy Campbell called all the young people forward and told them the Biblical story about why we have rainbows in the sky after a rain. The children enjoyed hearing about Noah's Ark. Mr. Craig's theme was about rainbows. He said he went to the internet to see what he could find out about rainbows related to Christianity. Well there were thousands of entries so he picked out a few which he read to the congregation. Congratulations to Josh Beisinger and James Durrell of Walton who have completed the soccer referee clinic and are now available to ref soccer games. The community musical, The Rock Slinger and his Greatest Hit is getting closer to its due date. Its actual birth will take place June 9 at 8 p.m. at the Walton Hall. The performers are practising hard, learning their lines and dance routines. The costumes and props are almost completed with just a few little details to add. Thanks to Marjory Humphries and Marie Coutts the backdrop has been painted and people will be in for a surprise when they see it. It is so incredible?
