Obituaries
GERALD KEITH ANDERSON
Gerald Keith Anderson passed
away on May 1, 2001 in his 66th
year.
He was the son of Earl and Sarah
Anderson, Brussels. He is survived
by his wife Jean (Irwin) daughters
Judith, and Leslie (Gordon) and
grandchildren Nicole and Adrian.
One brother and four sisters also sur-
vive him.
A memorial service was held on
May 5 in Pine Meadow.
ROY BRENIE
Albert Roy Brenie of Walton,
passed away at his residence on
Sunday, May 13, 2001. He was in his
74th year.
Born on May 10, 1928 in
Montreal, Quebec, Roy was the son
of the late Angelo and May Brenie
and the husband of Helen and former
husband of Patricia Wilson.
Roy will be sadly missed by his
wife Helen and children Donna
Martens and her husband Kevin,
Eric Brenie and his wife Lydia and
Michael Brenie and his fiarcee
Valerie all of Montreal. He was the
dear stepfather of Carol Blagrave
and her husband Stephen of
Montreal, Stephanie Hamilton and
her husband Eric of Cornwall,
Christopher Randle and his wife
Lisa of Montreal and Valerie
Pederson and her husband Kevin of
Edmonton. He was also loved by his
13 grandchildren and many family
members.
Roy was predeceased by his broth-
ers and sisters.
Friends were received 2 - 4 and 7 -
9 p.m. Tuesday at the Schimanski
Family Funeral Home, Brussels. The
funeral service will be conducted
from Duff's United Church, Walton,
on Wednesday, May 16 at 2 p.m.
with cremation to fallow.
As an expression of sympathy,
memorial donations may be made to
the Canadian Cancer Society.
LUELLA REGELE •
Mary Luella Regele, formerly of
McKillop Twp. passed away at
Seaforth Manor Nursing Home on
Tuesday, May 8, 2001. She was in
her 81st year.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Harry Regele (1993), and dear
mother of Charles Regele and his
wife Carol Anne of RRI, Dublin.
She was the loving grandmother of
Brian, Chris, Alex and Danny and
dear sister of Irene Lawrence of
Marmora.
Mrs. Regele was predeceased by
her parents, Thomas and Gladys
(Cutt) Taylor.
Family received friends at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, 87
Goderich St. W., Seaforth on Friday
from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the
funeral service was held Saturday,
May 12 at 2 p.m. Rev. Douglas
Corriveau officiated.
Pallbearers were Bill Beuermann,
Ed Kerstens, Douglas Dietz, Darwin
Dietz, Tom Eckert and Warren
Beuermann. Flowerbearers were
grandsons Brian Regele, Chris
Regele, Alex Regele and Danny
Regele. -
Interment was in McKillop
Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Sedorth
Community Hospital or . Diabetes
Association would be appreciated as
expressions of sympathy.
OLIVER RILEY
James Oliver Riley of Wroxeter,
passed away at St. Mary's Hospital,
Kitchener on Saturday, May 5, 2001.
He was in his 75th year.
Born in Brussels on Aug. 22, 1926,
Oliver was the son of John and
Elizabeth Riley. Oliver was raised
and received his formal education in
Brussels. During his teen years,
Oliver began his career in the meat
business working for Baker Bros.
and during the war served as a cook
in the reserve army.
In 1952, Oliver married Audrey
McCutcheon and together they had
five children. The family moved to
Wroxeter, where Oliver opened his
own butcher shop, but still not satis-
fied he returned to school to become
a meat inspector. During this time as
a meat inspector, Oliver travelled the
province, meeting various people
and having numerous experiences in
the meat industry.
When not at work, Oliver was
involved with a great number of
sports by either playing, coaching`or
umpiring. He was a member of the
Wroxeter United Church choir,
enjoyed gardening, his hockey cards
and always having his grandchildren
around him.
Oliver will be sadly missed by his
wife Audrey and his children Doreen
Wintemute and her husband Bill of
Wroxeter, Tharon Riley of
Kitchener, Ronald Riley of
Wingham, Mary Beth Gilbert and
her husband Ron of Harriston, and
Lynda Henderson and her husband
Dennis of Harriston. He was the dear
brother of Marge Lease and Irene
Hopf both of Stratford, Evelyn Hopf
of Calgary and Donald Riley of
Newfoundland and brother-in-law of
Grace Riley of Pusclinch. Oliver was
also loved by his eight grandchil-
dren.
He was predeceased by three
brothers and three sisters.
Friends were received by the fam-
ily from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Monday
at the Gorrie Visitation Centre of the
Schimanski Family Funeral Home,
where the funeral service was con-
ducted in the chapel on Tuesday,
May 8 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jeff
Hawkins of Wroxeter United Church
officiating.
Carrying floral • tributes were
grandchildren Melissa Riley, Dennis
Wintemute, Troy Gilbert, and Jen
Henderson. Acting as pallbearers
were Bruce Montgomery, Mac
Wylie, Hugh Jarvis, Paul Thompson,
Bill Harrison and Ken Lockwood.
Interment was in Wroxeter
Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy,
memorial donations may be made to
Wroxeter United Church or to the
Canadian Cancer Society.
