Hot dog!
The 1st Blyth Cubs were cooking on Saturday as they fed hungry downtowners in the village
barbecued hot dogs. Across the street at Blyth Memorial Hall, the Beavers held a bake sale,
while the Scouts were fundraising with a garage sale at the vet clinic. (Ocky Bremner photo)

FROM BLYTH
Seniors
enjoy
potluck
On April 25 Blyth Swinging
Seniors met at the Memorial Hall
and enjoyed a potluck dinner.
After dinner they heard two recita-
tions by Clifford Coultes. Stewart
Toll from London accompanied
Aubrey Toll for four solos.
They sang Happy Birthday to
those with March birthdays, Bill
Craig and Aubrey Toll, and Ferne
McDowell with an April birthday.
Happy Anniversary was sung to
Lawrence and Jean Plaetzer for their
April anniversary.
Isobel Craig reported on the spring
rally in Arkona. About 79- people
attended which was a small turnout.
The fall rally will be in Goderich.
They were reminded about the bus
trip on Thursday, June 28 to Drayton
to see the comedy A Bit Between My
Teeth.
The seniors from Londesboro will
join the group on May 23 for dinner.
Each Blyth member is to bring a $2
gift.
Euchre was played following the
meeting.
9-1-1 signs
recovered
On May 13, just before 7 p.m.
officers were called to a Queen
Street residence in Blyth over 911
signs. Sometime during the night 10
911 signs were thrown on the per-
son's lawn. Seven of the signs were
green in colour while three were
blue in colour. All the signs were for
individual homes that would have
caused delays in emergency vehicles
finding the homes.
Anyone who is missing his or her
emergency sign please call the
Huron OPP to reclaim the number.
