A NOTE FROM BETTY By Betty Graber Watson Call 887-6236 887-9231 The fields are abuzz with activity as the farmers get on the land. A drive in the country this week was a quick review of all the different machinery needed to feed the world. It was a time of appreciation for our land and the farmers. Water quality hit the news again this week — scary stuff. It's time we stop to appreciate the cycles of life and how we assist or interfere with • Our prayers and thoughts go out to Comrades Cathy Snyder, Roy Brenie and Alf Sutton as they cope with health problems. The nice weather always creates a slow down in attendance at the Branch but the bills go on. Any sup- port you can give the Branch over the summer by dropping in, attend- ing functions or helping at them would be appreciated. Let's see you in At The Branch. the water and our land. The parties, reunions and gatherings continue as we enjoy the good times of May. It seems Ray Brown, father of Meghan, got missed when the wedding guests were named last week. I'm having trouble concentrating as I keep'thinking about twn quiet men who died recently. Murray Long was an artist with carpenter tools and many homes in Brussels show his talents. Spence Scott was a commu- nity volunteer who gave his time and smile to many good organizations. So, like many in Brussels, I'm feel- ing sad because we'll miss them here. Share a hug.
