cated that Donaldson did have
alcohol in his system which

Also, police learned that the
accused had his licence sus-

Raymond Rowarth of
Brussels received a condition-
al discharge and was placed on
18 months probation for an
assault which occurred in
Brussels Dec. 10.
The owner of the hotel told
police she had seen the
accused strike the female vic-
tim then drag her to an apart-
ment down the street. Vale said
both the victim and the
accused had been drinking.
Attorney Frank Cameron
said his client denied hitting
the woman but said he did
drag her. The victim as well

Break and enter
An 18-year-old Bluevale
youth pled guilty to break and
enter.
Vale said Brian Walker and
two young offenders went to
an unoccupied residence on
Oct. 18 in Bluevale. An outer
storm window was removed
and a youth climbed in to go
open the front door.
Unable to do that the youth
then tried to go out a front
window. It fell and smashed.
The noise alerted witnesses
who saw the two left outside
fleeing. They caught the third
coming out the window.
The owner asked not just for
restitution but also for time in
labour and travel.
Walker, who has no priors,
received a suspended sentence
and was placed on 12 months
probation. He must make resti-
tution of $50 in 30 days.
