HURON COUNTY ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT
Requires
9-1-1 SUMMER STUDENTS
The Huron County Administration Department
requires 9-1-1 Summer Students for 35 hours per
week, for a time period expected to last approximately
4 months. The office is located in Goderich. The 9-1-1
Summer Students will assist the 9-1-1 Emergency
System Planner with various duties including:
Duties
• Revisions of the Non-Standard Addressing lists.
• Addressing lists for Bell Canada and the
Independent Phone companies.
• Examine the five digit addresses and compiling data
lists for review.
• Computer Data Entry.
• Computer Database Management.
• Map creation and editing.
• Dealing with the public and other agencies.
• Helping with other tasks as required.
Skills -
• Familiar with Mac and IBM-compatible computers.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiar with municipal governments.
• Map reading.
• Ability to deal with the general public.
• Working in a dynamic teamwork e,ivironment.
Education Requirements
• University or College Degree/Diploma/Cprtillulte in
Land Use Planning, Geography:or equivalent.
• Trained in or knowledge of Assessment Maps and
Aerial Photography.
• Knowledge of File Maker Pro 5.0, Microsoft Word,
Excel.
• Map editing software such as ClarisCAD.
Other Requirements
• Valid "G" Driver's License.
• Own transportation would be an asset.
