Obituaries The many visitors to Blyth United Church Women's annual event, Women's Day Out, held at Blyth Memorial Hall Saturday, not only had the chance to look at colourful blooms, personal care products, books, hobby material and craft, but were treated to guest speakers and entertainment. BERVA WATSON Berva Crystal (Blanchard) Watson of RR6, Goderich passed away peacefully at Maitland Manor. Goderich on Saturday, April 7, 2001. She was in her 75th year. Mrs. Watson was a member of Duff's United Church, Walton and a long-time employee of Bainton's Old Mill. She was the beloved wife of Gerald Watson. Mrs. Watson was the loving mother of Sandra Butler and George Webb of London, David Watson and Susan Yanyu of Calgary, Anne and Sal Curreri of Richmond Hill and Mary and Carman Bernard of Morris Twp. She was the precious grandmoth- er of Ryan. Stephen, Michael, Christopher, Marisa and Kristen and dear sister of Gordon and Ada Blanchard of Seaforth, Edith and Ben Gibson of Howick Twp., and Francis Rowley of London. She was the caring sister-in-law of Leona and Ray Nelson of Vancouver. Mrs. Watson was predeceased by a sister Helen Nichol and by a brother Keith Blanchard. Friends and family were invited to share memories of Berva at the Blyth Visitation Centre of the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Home, 407 Queen St. on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. where funeral serv- ice was held on Tuesday, April 10 at 2 p.m. Joan Tuchlinksy of Duff's United Church, Walton officiated. Cremation with interment of ashes will be in Blyth Union Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus or to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. ANNIE MILDRED EDITH BUTTON Mrs. Annie Mildred "Edith" Button, formerly of Blyth passed away peacefully at Leisure World Nursing Home on April 3, 2001. She was in her 94th year. Mrs. Button was born in East Wawanosh Twp. on April 5, 1907 and was the daughter of the late William and Frances (Cooper) Salter. Mrs. Button was the beloved wife of the late Ross Glen Button (1970) and dear mother of Russell and Karen Button of Barrie, Frank Button of London and Wilfred and Patricia Button of Brussels. • She was the loving grand- mother of Tamara, Chad, Jennifer, Catherine and Christopher Button. Mrs. Button was predeceased by one sister Marietta and three broth- ers Russell, Frank and Wilfred Slater. Friends were received at the Blyth Visitation Centre on Wednesday, April 4 from 6 - 9 p.m. where funer- al service was held on Thursday, April 5 at 2 p.m. Pastor Les Cook officiated. Pallbearers were Ralph Campbell, Russell Cook, Doug Kilpatrick and Grant Kilpatrick. Spring interment will be in Blyth Union Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted 'to Beattie-Falconer Funeral Home Ltd., Clinton. Habitat needs all types of volunteers at one of our builds. Construction experience is not necessary.
