Well April showers may come
your way. Hum along now. Can't
you just feel the words as the wee
drops hit the window? Yes, spring is
here!
The activity level on the streets
also says spring, as wagons are
pulled, skateboards are mounted,
bicycles are in tune and the strollers
are out in full force. Spring is such a
friendly time, after the confinement
of the long winter days. It just feels
good to say a cheery, "Hello!"
It's registration time for ball and
soccer. Don't miss this opportunity
to share yourself with the youth of
the community. Everybody wins.
For the older set, Huron East has
issued an invitation to try some dif-
ferent activities so call the recreation
department and tell them you're
ready for a little more activity.
The university crowd will soon be
home ready to take on the financial
district. If you have a job for them
the word out as they need the coins
in their jeans to make next year a
reality. Just ask one of them the cost
for a year. It will give you a small
shock.
We went to Show Boat last week in
Kitchener — excellent scenery, good
music and the surprise that it had its
first run in 1927. Looking at it in that
reality it was way ahead of its time
dealing with racial issues, unwed
mothers, working women and class-
es of people. It was worth the price
of the ticket to hear Old Man River.
The school wa a busy spot on
Saturday as vendors showed their
stuff to a good crowd of supporters.
Easter gifts were moving as were the
baked goodies. Lunch was available
served ably by great waiters from the
middle grades. References are avail-
able when you guys need a job.
All the area churches celebrated
Pam Sunday, hopefully with as much
glee as was in our church parade.
You have to have lots of children to
make a parade any good at all. Now,
on with the rest of the Holy Week
story with all the doom and despair
that you know it entails.

Carol Anne Regele, right, was just one of the many crafters with booths at Brussels Public
School, April 7, for the annual event. Marlene Hill, Heather Hill and Betty Graber-Watson
checked out a few of the selections.
