A mistake while flushing hydrants
on March 29 in Blyth raised some
concerns.
North Huron Clerk Administrator
John Stewart told council at the
Monday night meeting that when the
hydrants were flushed the workers
did not "consciously check the lev-
acted several numbers which were
enjoyable and interesting.
Following this members had the
usual sing-song led by Aubrey Toll,
accompanied by Freda Jordan.
Aleshia Denny, granddaughter of
els."
What happens, he explained, is
that the reservoir gets down below a
certain level and the pump loses its
prime, thus failing to refill.
By late in the day residents had lit-
tle or no water.
Stewart noted that there were for-
tunately no catastrophes as a result
and that it has been a learning expe-
rience for staff.
Erma Cook, was present to deliver
her public speech. Aleshia is a Grade
8 honours pupil at Wallace Public
School. As she placed first at her
school for her speech We Are The
Future, she will be speaking in
Mount Forest. Best wishes Aleshia.
