(Contract Position)
The successful candidate will perform the duties of a courtroom
clerk and provide verbatim court recording/monitoring at sittings of
the Provincial Offences Courts as assigned. You will provide
transcripts of evidence on a free-lance basis in the prescribed format
and time frames and assist with administrative duties in the .office
as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
a- Grade 12 or equivalent.
a- Demonstrated knowledge of courtroom procedures, decorum and
of legal and technical terms and high standard of English
grammar and spelling skills.
Typing/keyboarding ability to acceptable standard and proven
ability to operate electronic recording system.
a- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and tactfully both
verbally and in writing.
a- Ability to work independently.
a- Grade 12 or equivalent.
a- Ability to work with interruptions and meet deadlines.

several seasonal employment positions available
beginning in May. These positions will be to assist
with the day to day operations of the Museum and
Historic Gaol and provide visitor services throughout
the summer season. The hours of work are from 9:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and involve some weekend hours.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with the pub-
lic, and have an avid interest in history and artifacts.
