Thanks to my granddaughters Laurel and Shannon for so capably doing everything that needecho be done that day. Thanks to the ambulance attendants, Dr. Bokhout and the Clinton Hospital emergency staff, Dr. Van Walraven and the staff at Stratford Hospital, for my care the first few days. Thanks to Dr. Salsbury, Dr. Hay, the staff at Clinton Hospital, Dr. Gear, the rehab team and the staff at Wingham Hospital for their care. Thanks to everyone who sent cards, gifts, visited and called since my stroke. Special thanks to Rev. Paul Ross for his support during this difficult time for me and my family. Call 887-9499. tfn The meeting of the Auxiliary to Wingham and District Hospital was held in the Terrace Room of the hospital, Monday, Nov. 27. Mary Lou Cameron gave the treasurer's report. The results of the rummage sale were $1,314.38. As the sale is all volunteer work the members agreed it was still worthwhile to continue this project and thank the public for being so faithful in savir.g articles for the sale. The spring date will be announced later. Myrla Frank, treasurer of the gift shop announced that sales had been good with October sales of $635.63. New items for Christmas are available for sale at the gift shop. President Brenda Anger reported on the fall conference that five members attended in Palmerston. Wingham will be hosting the fall conference in 2001. Hospital bridge is now in play for another season. There are six tables in play in the afternoon and four in the evening. It was announced that December babies will go home in a Christmas stocking attractively sewn by auxiliary member Marion MacKenzie. The New Year's baby will be presented with a shawl from the Auxiliary. All auxiliary members are requested to get new ID cards under the Huron Perth Hospitals Partnership. Watch for dates when the camera will be available at the hospital. After some discussion it was decided to send a letter to the board and site administrator requesting an answer to how Auxiliary money is being spent at the hospital. The social convenors, Donna Sutcliffe and Shirley McKague, served Christmas treats. Members then tried their hand at painting a candle under the guidance of President Anger.
