Lawrence Gowan, the Canadian
pianist/songwriter/singer is appear-
ing in Wingham, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m.
During his performance at the
Town Hall Heritage Theatre he will
revisit most of his hit songs of the
last 15 years.
"It's a much different way to hear
my music. It is more the way the
music was conceived, the way I
heard it when I first wrote it. A solo
performance can be very revealing.
The troubadour spirit re-awakens
and you are back at home."
Some of the songs are Strange
Animal, Moonlight Desires and
Criminal Mind.
Opening for Gowan will be Erin
Benjamin. She has been writing
and performing her own material
since she was 14. From MCTV's
That Country Feelin' to the national
festival Winterlude in Ottawa, to
Massey Hall in Toronto, she has
shared her unique blend of folk and
jazz with audiences province-wide.
This Sudbury-based singer/
songwriter has released her first
original CD.
