A Note from Betty
Well, it's official — we're now in Advent — the waiting period to Christmas.
By the looks of the homes in Brussels we have a lot of folk anticipating
the festive season. The outside lights are beautiful. It was nice putting them
up without boots and mitts I bet.
I'm hearing lots of plans for the weekend — reunion visits, job parties,
floats in the planning stages, getting The Ark ready for Santa's visit. At
many of our churches on Sunday, the children will lead the worship as we
celebrate the story of the white gift. The treasures received will -go to the
Huron County Christmas Bureau to celebrate the fact we have much to
share.
Remember your food for the parade to boost the North Huron Food Bank.
Enjoy this season — don't wreck it by complaining how busy you are — just
enjoy the time, the people, the reason!
Light up your homes and your hearts as you anticipate Advent!
Bye now,
Betty G.
