show to loyal fans around the world.

The fish Rovers will be rolling
into Blyth, Dec. 1, bringing their
unique blend of celtic tunes, won-
derful instrumentation and good
fun.
With more than 30 years experi-
ence entertaining crowds around
the world, the Rovers enter their
fourth decade with a revitalized
commitment to their legion of fans.
Original members George Millar
(guitar, vocals), cousin Joe Millar
(bass, vocals) and Wilcil Mcdowell
(accordion, keyboards) bring with
them the colourful and successful
style of the past while new mem-
bers add a fresh exciting spark.
John Reynolds (guitar, whistle,
come to
vocals) is from Belfast and Sean
O'Driscoll (mandolin, banjo, guitar,
vocals) is from Blarney, County of
Cork.
Wallace Hood (mandolin, banjo,
10-string cittern, Irish bouzouki,
whistle, guitar, vocals) steps in
when O'Driscoll is unavailable.
Long-time friend Kevin McKe-
own from Antrim adds percussion.
Bill Craig (bodran, guitar, man-
dolin, vocals) joined the Rovers
after the passing of dear friend aid

"Our shows are the fastest two
hours around," said George Millar.
"People are too busy clapping their
hands, stomping their feet and hav-

clock ticking. After all these years,
it still does feel like a party every
time we go on stage."

The Huron Pioneer Thresher Reunion and Hobby Show Association held its annual meeting
in Blyth on Saturday. Directors are, back row, from left: Paul Josling, Judy Sloan, Bill

Threshers hold annual meeting
The annual meeting of the Huron
Pioneer Threshers and Hobby
Association was held on Saturday,
Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. in the Blyth
Arena complex.
President Gary Courtney opened
the meeting and welcomed 67
members. A moment's silence was
observed for deceased members.
Stephen Tiffin, treasurer handed
out copies of the 19913 financial
statements. The club had another
successful year.
Retiring directors are Jack Van
Egmond, George Underwood and
Bea Houston.
New directors for a three-year
term are Bill Vincent, Blyth; Tom
Penhale, Bayfielc1; and Brad
McBride, Kippen.
Edgar Daer, Auburn was
nominated as second vice-
president.
Featured tractor for 1999 is John
Deere.
George Underwood and Paul
Josling attended an All Show
meeting in Essex.
Aerial photos and slides were
shown.
One hundred and twenty
members and guests enjoyed a hot
turkey dinner served by the Legion
Ladies Auxiliary.
