Hensall opened the scoring five minutes into the first period to take a 1 - 0 lead. Mid-way through the second period Hensall scored to increase their lead to 2 - 0. In the third period Hensall added two more goals. With five minutes left in the game Ben Gowing deked a Hensall defender to get a break-away. He buried his wrist shot in the corner of the net to break the shutout. Even though Brussels had a few more changes late in the game, they were unable to capitalize on their chances. The loss evened the Tykes record to two wins and two losses. On Saturday, Nov. 7 Brussels travelled to Blyth to face the Tyke Bulldogs. Gowing opened the scoring in the first minute of play. Four minutes later Greg Dodds scored with Matthew Stevenson drawing an assist for Blyth to tie the score. A minute later Cody Subject scored an unassisted goal for Brussels. Early in the second period SubjeCt went on a scoring spree notching four straight in a two- minute span to put Brussels ahead 6 - 1. Taylor Prior assisted on Subject's fourth goal. This ignited the Brussels attack. Joel Wilkinson knocked in a rebound of a Gowing shot for a objective at hand, tasting victory once again." The Bulldogs looked a little sluggish as they faced Brussels on Nov. 9 at the Blyth arena. The score was 2-1 in Blyth's favour at the end of the first and the Dogs soon realized they had better quit doggin' it and move the puck away from the goaltender Travis Campbell, who was keeping the Dogs in the game, and head to the opposing net. The final score in Blyth's favour was 6-2. Goals were scored by Matt Bromley, Anderson (two), Mike Bernard, Marks and Derek Cook. lose 1, win 1 seventh goal, then an unassisted marker by Evan Ducharme and Subject's sixth goal of the game with an assist from Thomas Johnston upped Brussels' lead to 9 - I by the end of the second period. In the third period Brussels continued to put pressure on the Blyth goaltending. Gowing completed his hattrick by scoring two. Ducharme with his second of the game and Brendan Stretton with his first of the year completed the Brussels scoring. Robert Cronin earned an assist on one of Gowing's goals. PeeWees edge Milverton 2-1 Brussels PeeWees hosted Milver- ton on Nov. 13 and edged them 2- 1.
