Anyone with news about special happenings and people is invited to let Betty know. I'm thinking about the past week, and for the most depressing time of the year, there sure was a lot of celebrating going on. The celebrating that I'm thinking of is the kind that recognizes happy days, moments in time that are always in your memory and of course I'm celebrating the folks who bring you joy. Despite the gloomy days there was much remembering as the churches in the village honoured and celebrated military personnel. By their service and role in justice we are able to live in ptace. The stories that we heard are a good reason to celebrate others. Friendship was the cause for celebration as Peggy Cudmore hit 90. We attended to be near a neat lady who touched many lives with her interest in life, her flowers, her cakes, her church, her family and her sense of humour. Good friends together in celebration gives off a nice sound — and Ida's laugh at the party made it complete. Talents were recognized as well this week. The Presbyterian Church celebrated 25 years with Joanne King as their music leader, The Legion recognized the many talented folk who do crafts so well and held their annual sale to show off their stuff. Wow — Remembrance Day, Canada, and good friends — of course we should be celebrating. Now it's up to us to keep up the mood and pass on only the good stuff. Bye now! Betty G.
