afternoon performance of For Art's Sake, at Blyth Memorial Hall, enjoyed face painting, a
Halloween costume contest and lots of games. Robyn Nicholson and Jake Monaghan took

Townsends to entertain E ntertainment at Heritage Theatre
Canada's favourite "feel-good"
musical Anne of Green Gables is
coming to River Run Centre for
two shows on Nov. 1 at 1:30 p.m.
and 7:30 p.m. This professional
Theatre Aquarius production
features a cast of over 30 with
magnificent sets and costumes.
Deeply rooted in Prince Edward
Island culture, this story about a
precocious red-haired orphan is the
perfect show for the whole family.

Remembrance Day will soon be
upon us and for that significant day
in our history we are preparing for
our annual Poppy Campaign. It will
be held on Saturday, Nov. 7 when
the Cadets will canvas the town of
Brussels as well as Ethel,
Cranbrook and Walton.
Members of the Ladies Auxiliary
and all members of Branch 218 are
asked and greatly appreciated in
joining the efforts of the Cadets.
Meet at the Legion by 9:30 a.m. in
the songs from the show and falling
in love with Anne Shirley, the
spunky chatterbox with a wild
poetic imagination.
Sharmaine Ryan who has
received incredible reviews as
Anne Shirley, says, "I adore her
(Anne). She's a little spitfire, who's
bright and imaginative."
Supporting cast includes Valerie
Boyle as Marilla Cuthbert, the
small-town spinster who comes to
love Anne, Ron Hastings as
Marina's brother Matthew Cuthbert
