On the evening of Oct. 13 the
WMS ladies of Knox Church,
Cranbrook, met at the home of
Stuart Stevenson with eight
members and one guest in
attendance.
Mrs. Murray Crawford was
leader for the meeting. She read the
Thanksgiving Psalm, Psalm 100.
A brief topic was taken from the
women's Inter-Church Newsletter
which dealt with the coming year
2000 and the fear of the
"Millennium bug". In the time
between now and then, there is a
broad-based church movement
afoot to announce a vision of hope
and call for world-wide social
justice on earth. Let there be a call
for release from indebtedness, a
redistribution of wealth and a
renewal of the earth.
Presbyterial visitor Mrs. Joan
McMillan from Atwood brought
greetings. Mrs. McMillan is the
press reporter for Presbytery and
contributes to 10 newspapers.
She read "Living One Day at a
Time". People must realize the
value of time and make use of even
the smallest amount of time.
Important words or a healing act
can be performed in 60 seconds,
she said.
Mrs. Harvey Smith ,is ready to
accept subscriptions to the Glad
Tidings booklet.

stops in net.
The lone Brussels score went to
