hiking. Visitors participating in a
walk at the Fall Colour Tour will
receive an Ontario Hiking Day
certificate.
The Centre will be open through-
out the afternoon. Staff from the

carvings and natural objects set up.
Hot apple cider will be served,

Maitland Valley Conservation
Authority staff report that the dry
summer weather has resulted in an
early colour change and leaf drop
in some tree species. The Fall

opportunity to enjoy the spectacle
of autumn colours before the leaves
are all down.
The Fall Colour Tour is
sponsored jointly by the Maitland
Valley Conservation Authority and
the Maitland Conservation Founda-
tion. Admission is free. Apple cider
is 25 cents per cup. Donations to the
Maitland Conservation Foundation
