Cow prices hold steady
The sales at Brussels Livestock
for the week ending Sept. 18 were:
fed cattle, 755; cows, 208; veal and
bob calves, 515; lambs, 398;
stockers, 1,638.
The fed steers and heifers sold at
steady prices.. Cows also traded at
steady prices. Veal sold $2 to $3
higher. Lambs are selling on a fully
steady market. All classes of
stockers sold on a steady trade.
There were 506 steers on offer
selling from $87 to $91 to the high
of $99.75. Twenty-three steers
