Grey defers
• rezoning
Due to a minor contamination
found in the ground on Part Lots 14
and 15, RP 200, owned by Larry
and Barbara Rose, council deferred
their decision regarding a rezoning
until clean up has occurred.
Council noted that the contami-
nation, probably a result of the land
being used as a salvage yard was
likely no greater than found in a
residential driveway.
However, as environmental con-
tamination incidents are new for
both the county and the township,
council requested Rose work out a
plan with the environmental con-
sultant with regards to the cleanup.
Rose applied to have a portion of
the property rezoned to village resi-
dential-mobile home and another
section salvage year-special provi-
sons.

Great pumpkin
The Crawfords in Brussels have grown a 515 pound
pumpkin as part of a contest amongst several couples.
With a dedicated watering system and protection from the
burning rays of the sun, the giant specimen continues to
grow daily. Beth and son, Jason Crawford, showed it off
last week.
