horses and does countless other jobs.
While there are close to. 600 members of
the Huron Pioneer Thresher and Hobby
Association, according to Josling there are
a key 25 members who really make the
reunion happen.
"The show has grown too big for the
amount of help we have," said Josling. "I
really enjoy the show otherwise I wouldn't
be doing it."
Josling spends a lot of his free time
travelling to other county steam shows to
find new ideas. A new addition to this
year's show will be the steam engine
plowing. Josling was responsible for
arranging it and renting close to three
acres near the site where the engines will
plow. Josling said if all goes well this year
they will think of renting more land next
year.
Aside from being interested in old
tractors and threshers himself, Josling
wants the show to be fun for young people
too.
"I like to get young kids involved
because we're not going to be around
forever."
Josling often takes his neighbour's son
and his own nieces and nephews along to
the show. Twelve-year-old Nathan
