ALLEN EDWARD SHAD-
DICK
Allen Shaddick of Londesboro
passed away at Seaforth Communi-
ty Hospital on Wednesday, Aug.
26, 1998. He was 75.
Born in Hullctt Twp., on July 2,
1923, he was the beloved son of the
late Richard and Lucy (Bromley)
Shaddick. He married the former
Ruth Lorren Walkom of Fullarton
Twp., who predeceased him. He
was the dear father of Richard and
Jean of Gloucester, Robert and
Donna of Londesboro, Jeff and
Karin of London and Lloy and Dirk
Garlichs of Waterloo. Mr. Shaddick
was the beloved brother of Mamie
Carter of Seaforth and loving
grandfather, of 10. ,
He was predeceased by a sister
Ruth Shaddick and three brothers,
James, John and Joe.
A member of Londesboro United
Church, Mr. Shaddick was
employed throughout his life as a
farmer.
He was initiated as a member of
Hullett Lodge AF&AM NO 568
Oct. 8, 1946. His membership was
passed on Dec. 10, 1946 and raised
on Jan. 14, 1947. He served as
Master of the Hullett Lodge in
1950 and was District Secretary for
R.W. Bro. William Leiper in 1956.
The following year he was appoint-
ed Grand Stewart.
The Lodge held a memorial ser-
vice at the Beattie-Falconer Funeral
Home Friday evening, Aug. 28 at 9
p.m.
Rev. Paul Ross officiated at the
11 a.m. funeral service the follow-
ing morning.
Carrying floral tributes were
Steve Shaddick, David Shaddick,
Dan Shaddick and Drew Garlichs.
Pallbearers were Richard Shad-
dick, Robert Shaddick, Jeff Shad-
dick, Dirk Garlichs, Scott Shaddick
and Todd Shaddick.
Interment at Bethel-Munro
Cemetery, Fullarton Twp.
HARVEY JAMES CRAIG
Mr. Harvey James Craig,
formerly of Walton, passed away at
Huronlca Home for the Aged,
Brussels on Monday, Aug. 24,
1998. He was in his 89th year.
Born in Morris Twp. on July 17,
1910, Mr. Craig was the eldest son
of 12 children born to the late
Robert and Ada May Craig. He was
very active in his community
serving as an elder in Duff's United
Church, a trustee for Seaforth
District High School, a past reeve
of McKillop Twp., a county
councillor for Huron County and a
long time member of the Brussels
Agricultural Society.
Mr. Craig will be sadly missed
by his wife Margaret, his children
Graeme Craig and his wife Helen
of Walton and Sherrill Christian
and her husband Robert of
Oceanview, Delaware, USA, and
his grandchildren Michael and
Shannon Craig. He was the dear
brother of Ada Craig of Stoney
Creek, Roberta Simpson of Brussels,
Annie Wight of Listowel, Olive
Faitz of Stoney Creek, Gordon
Craig of Guelph and William Craig
of Morris Twp. He was predeceased
by his grandson Chad Craig and by
three sisters and two brothers.
Friends were received Thursday
by the family at the Schimanski
Family Funeral Home, Brussels
where the funeral service was
conducted on Friday, Aug. 28,
1998 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Cathrine
Campbell officiating. Graeme and
Sherrill, sang Amazing Grace as a
tribute to their father.
Pallbearers were Gordon Craig,
William Craig, Floyd Cole, Gerald
Smith, Campbell Wey, and Keith
Bachert. Flowerbearers were
Michael and Shannon Craig.
Interment was in Brussels
Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy,
memorial donations were made to
Duffs United Church, Walton, The
Autism Society of Ontario
(Research) or to the charity of one's
choice.

program, being offered in
Wingham this fall, will give those
with chronic lung disease the
knowledge and skills needed to
enjoy as active and rewarding a
lifestyle as possible.
BREATHE EASY, sponsored by
The Lung Association, Huron-Perth
Counties, Horizon Pro Healthand
Wingham & District Hospital,
begins Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 2
to 4 p.m. and will run, for six
consecutive Wednesdays. The
program will be held at Wingham
& District Hospital.
Guest speakers will provide
information on medications, diet,
coping with chronic illness and the

ed 14 tables of euchre at the Ethel
Hall.

home. As well, breathing and
relaxation techniques will be
taught.
