Brussels Livestock report Fed steers, heifers sell on steady, market The sales at Brussels Livestock for the week ending Aug. 28 were: fed cattle, 560; cows, 241; veal and bob calves. 538; lambs, 422 and stockers 1,394. All classes of fed steers and heifers were selling on a steady market. Cows also sold steady. On Thursday the veal traded steady to last week with the lambs selling actively at fully steady prices. There were 367 fed steers on offer selling from $87 to $90 to the high of $98.25. A limousin steer consigned by Howard Martin, Brussels, weighing 1,340 lbs. sold for $98.25 with his total offering of fourteen steers, averaging 1,312 lbs. selling for the overall price of $88.76.
