Hullett Mites, win, lose, tie
The Blyth II Mosquitoes had to
be satisfied with a split during the
North Huron Mosquito soccer tour-
nament, held Aug. 4 in Goderich.
In their matchup against the Clin-
ton Cannibals, Blyth kicked their
way to an early lead with four net-
ters in the first half.
Mike Moore scored a natural hat-
trick, with the assistance of Gregg
Bechtel and Lee Prescott before
Bechtel popped in one of his own
off a pass from Prescott.
Up 4-1 going into the second
half, Moore added an insurance
goal as Clinton got two past the
Blyth netminder.

In the first of their B title games,
Belgrave met Ethel at their home
diamond.

ing by Lisa Black helped push the
team one step closer to the champi-
onship in the best-two-of-three
series.
Going up 12-7 through two, Bel-
grave continued to add to their lead
while holding Ethel to a minimum
of runs.
