In 1958 J & H Campbell Transport of Blyth,
purchased their first tanker to transport flour to
Toronto for Howson and Howson Ltd.
Gradually Campbells increased from one to six
tankers, one of them leased. These tankers have
been used to transport semolina to Montreal.
Toronto, and different locations in Ontario, and the
U.S.A.
Howson and Howson have purchased these
tankers, along with the tractors from Campbells, and
on September 1, 1998 take possession of these
units, after several months of negotiations.
The tanker division of Campbells has been a
successful operation for forty years, and the loyalty
and dependability of drivers, mechanics, and those
on maintenance, has been appreciated in this
operation, and the other units they will still operate.
Harold and Bill Campbell wish Howson and
Howson success in this venture.
