The relationship formed in 1958, when Campbells purchased one tanker to transport flour for the mill to Toronto. Gradually Campbells increased from one to six tankers, one of them leased. These tankers have been used to transport semolina to Montreal. Toronto, and different locations in Ontario, and the U.S.A. Howson and Howson have purchased these tankers, along with the tractors from Campbells, and on September 1, 1998 take possession of these units, after several months of negotiations. The tanker division of Campbells has been a successful operation for forty years, and the loyalty and dependability of drivers, mechanics, and those on maintenance, has been appreciated in this operation, and the other units they will still operate.
